Atardecer en el Tibidabo

16 - 18 November 2021

Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), the leading international summit for cities and smart urban solutions organized by Fira de Barcelona, and Tomorrow Mobility World Congress (TMWC) brought together and reconnected the urban innovation ecosystem for three days (16-18 Nov 2021) in Barcelona.

With over 14,000 attendees from 120 countries, 400 cities and 350 experts, the events spurred again the global debate on urban transformation with resiliency, sustainability, and liveability as the key topics in a post-pandemic landscape.

This special 10th anniversary edition of Smart City Expo World Congress was a hybrid experience. While the physical event returns to Barcelona, a parallel digital program of talks and workshops was broadcast online, taking SCEWC into its next decade with a new, cross-platform approach and a widened community.

On 17 Nov 2021 CARNET in collaboration with Smart City Expo, CARNET  organized a round table "Green and Safe Mobility for all: 5 Smart City(thon) Case studies". The event had two objectives - from one side to share with the experts in urban mobility successful case studies from the cities, where the Citython project was held during 2021, and for another, to recognize the winners of each edition on the stage of Innovation zone. The winners received a special certificate, medal and congratulations from the EIT Urban Mobility representatives, but also the opportunity to present their project during the three days event in Barcelona.

During the event representatives from Eindhoven, Bilbao, Barcelona and Hamburg, CARNET and EIT Urban Mobility shared useful insideghts with the public of Smart City Expo.

Congratulations to all winners and thank you to all partners and specially Smart City Expo for the collaboration in this project.
